We have been lucky to have been on a tour of the bridge on Princess. We have done this since 9/11 but it was not open to the public. Princess now sells a tour that includes the bridge, not sure about Carnival. You might want to check the excursions list on Carnival and see if they have something comparable. It would be listed under a ship tour or something to that effect. The views were incredible from the bridge. I loved the tour.
