Booking a D3 gty

Anybody ever done this on a voyager class ship? what was the outcome- were you happy or were you disappointed by the room you got?

We are also booked in a D3. We have always had interior rooms in the past. I'm interested in any replys you get.

hopefully someone else can give us an idea about these gty 's- is your sailing sold out? ours is getting close

We booked guarantee cabins twice and both times were lucky enough to be upgraded but that was a couple of years ago. Don't know what the chances of that might be now. We did, however, book a guarantee in the lowest category we would consider so if we didn't get an upgrade we would still be happy with our choice. For instance, I won't cruise without a balcony so we always book at least a balcony cabin. Good luck, hope the upgrade fairy visits your cabin.

we booked a balcony D3 gty because that was the only D3 type cabin left available for our sailing- the E cat's were all sold out and the D2 was about 300 more p.p. (became a gty also within a week of us booking) and the D1 was about 400 more p.p. so we stuck with the D3 gty- did not do this hoping for the upgrade fairy but would not mind it if we "met" her- was really just hoping that those who had done a D3 gty would reply here about how great or not great their rooms ended up being with this type situation-

p.s. we will be happy with our D3 cabin - was promised it would be unobstructed view balcony- if that is what we have then we will be very happy
