Hello-
I was looking at getting an balcony room on Fredom Of The Sea. I was wondering if anyone know of advantages to having a room on the hump? Is there any disatvantages to having a room on there?

My wife & I enjoyed a "hump"cabin on the Mariner of the Seas located on deck 6 and found it the ideal location. It was v ery quiet and just about 25 steps to the elevators, and Just one flight of stairs above the Promenade. Plus we were located just one flight of steps to our dining location. I can't tell you about the Freedom of the Seas, and suggest you study the deck plans to see just how convenient your choice of cabins toareas you desire most.

As a general rule the cabins on the "bump" have larger balconies that the cabins on the side.... you can usually get a good sense of size by looking at the deck plan for you deck.... I've booked one of these for our Alaska cruise on the Serenade next September....

We just had a Hump cabin on the Mariner on deck 7 and were just steps away from the elevator and the library. We loved it!! It was so convienent. I was worried about noise since it was so close to the elevators but we never heard a peep. I would book the Hump again in a flash.

We were on the hump also on deck 7, on the Mariner with Corky. We liked the location so much that we booked a balcony on the hump for our next cruise on the Jewel in Sept.

We were on the hump on deck 6 recently on the Mariner. I love this location the balcony was great and the views from front to back were really cool. Great location on the ship so close to everything. We booked a hump on deck 8 of the Navigator for next year.

The hump cabins are great for their central location on the deck, plus you have a sea view to the front of the ship and to the back. If you are aft or forward of these humps your view will just go to the hump---confused? I know I am now! Look at a diagram of the ship decks, you will see 'humps' on decks 6-10 on the Radiance class/Voyager Class ships, this will give you a better idea of what humps are.
We booked a hump cabin for our Brilliance cruise, we were told aside from the aft cabins these are some of the best to book, we will find out!

We had a hump on deck 7 on both Navigator cruises. We loved it. As mentioned above, you have a full view from the front of the ship to the back. We will book another hump next time.

Just booked a bump cabin on deck 8 on the Brillance of the Seas for a cruise to Panama Canal in March of 2007 right in the middle of the bump out. Looks like it is the perfect spot to be

We've had them several times and love it. We are booked on Jewel of the Seas, July, to the Baltic and have a hump cabin on deck 9. We had this same cabin once before...... When you look down the life boats are not right below you either. I like looking down and seeing water......
