We took the Sea from Houston in 99, and went to Cancun, kind of a "so-so" port in our opinion (not big drinkers, gamblers, or partyers), and when the ship left at 10PM, my daughter and I were ondeck, and could see the mud kicked up by the bow thrusters when they swung her back out toward the open sea. Cancun has a very shallow bay, the previous year on the old Star we missed it, due to high winds and fears of grounding.
