on Cobra models, it seems ch.3 and ch.7 are POPULAR CHANNELS on the cruise ships (at least the ones I've been on LOL) try a different channel LOL. I got mine for like $60-$70 bucks at Best Buy. don't know if those are in other states though =huh. But they work real good on the ships. Even the larger ones, (Carnival Victory/ Carnival Triumph)The thing about yelling into them. Very true, no need to yell. And CERTAINLY no need to do the Alert thingy over and over and over and over again.
