This was in my paper today (Jacksonville FL)

Carnival's Miracle crossing Atlantic for Jacksonville stop

By GREGORY RICHARDS
The Times-Union
Carnival Cruise Lines last week took delivery of the Carnival Miracle, the 2,124-passenger ship that will begin cruise service from Jacksonville on Friday, Feb. 27. It will arrive in Jacksonville on the afternoon of Feb. 23 following a 14-day transatlantic crossing from the Finnish shipyard where it was constructed. Former Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch will christen the ship at a naming ceremony on Feb. 27.

Carnival Cruise Lines The Carnival Miracle cruise ship is expected in Jacksonville next Monday.

The Miracle will offer three-, five- and six-day cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean through April, Carnival's first sailings from Jacksonville. The ship will then move on to Baltimore and New York before transferring to Tampa. In October, Carnival's Celebration will begin year-round cruise service from the First Coast.

In 2005, the Miracle, which cost $375 million to construct, will return to Jacksonville to house guests for the Super Bowl.

Passenger cruise ship service from Jacksonville began last October with Celebrity Cruises' Caribbean cruises, most lasting 14 nights.

John

thank you for the pictures. I will be sailing on the Miracle May 2, 2004. It looks like on the pictures that they used alot of dark wood. I hope the ship looks better in person than what the pictures show.

Some of the Areas of this ship look to be a little overdone, Almost to the point of being gaudy.
I can't quite figure out what theme the decor in the dining room is supposed to represent.
