A whole bunch of us are traveling on the Carnivale Legend on November 3, 2004. We will be arriving in Fort Lauderdale 2 days earlier for a little R & R. The last time we stayed in that city was in 1999 before we cruised on the Grand Princess. What a nightmare. We stayed at the Days Inn. It was disgusting. There were 11 of us so we had 4 rooms and each and every one of them were yucky. The bathrooms had mold so thick, you could've used it for planting soil. The shower curtain was green, and that was not by design. The carpet reaked of some strange order that to this very day, I still can't identify it.
So for our next cruise, we are leaving out of Port Everglades and we want to stay in a luxurious hotel, with a restaurant. Well, maybe not luxurious, but somewhat close to it. Maybe in a Hilton or Sheraton class of hotels.
I need to know this info soon because the earlier you book, the better deals you can get. I would love a hotel with a view of the ocean. I'm also going to try bidding on a room thru Priceline.com
