I've just been alerted by Maw that on FB she read that Cathy Wall aka Seawall has passed away earlier this month. Not sure of the details but I know she was only in her mid 50s as she graduated HS the same year as my youngest sister. Cathy posted rarely in the last couple years but she did lurk. She was a major fixture around here in the early days and loved to track hurricanes and do predictions. Rest in Peace Cathy....

I am still in shock. Paw and I sailed out of Big Easy with Cathy and Marvin some years ago was a great cruise. she and Paw always planned what they were grilling on week ends. Rest in Peace Cathy.

I am very saddened to read this. I remember so many good times on here with Cathy in the 'olden days'. October has just sucked with bad news. Thanks Denise and Maw for alerting us.

Lot of reasons she stayed in the shadows in more recent years, she was missed then and will be missed even more now...

Seawall was one of my early friends on cruise-addicts. She and I shared a passion for the old liners and would share stories of our cruises on the ones that were still in service. I also remember her posts after Hurricane Katrina -- she painted a picture more vividly than most reporters I'd heard. RIP, Seawall.

RIP, Cathy. I always loved her hurricane updates and I remember her sharing her recipe for beef brisket - it was soooo good!

I remember Seawall. She got me involved in her Fantasy NASCAR league. I was clueless and we teamed up against John(NJ) for drivers. RIP.

I too am saddened to hear of Cathy's (Seawall) passing. She was one of the very first friends I met here at C@'s. Seawall kept me in stitches in the chat room with her stories or as I called them (Adventures). I missed seeing her post, but when she did, it was always so very nice.

That is a shock and I'm sorry to hear. She certainly made her mark as the Gif queen being very creative in her avatars she made for fellow C@ddicts.

Gee I happened to be looking around and saw this. Of course Seawall was a great contributor in the day. I remember chatting with the group in the early 2000's
