Amtrak update aug 20 2009

We have now Two Trains per day North and South

In my opinion the best way to travel between our two cities. The Early train SB and the late train NB will remain in service until after the Olympics when they will revist the schedule

We love Amtrak. In August we will be sailing to Alaska from Seattle with Sunflower and Calgon. We'll meet them in Seattle, taking Amtrak from SFO to Seattle with a sleeper car for the 22+ hour trip.

I just took Amtrak last October from Charleston to Phila. (coach) for 12 hours. Had a wonderful time talking with other travelers.. Enjoy your cruise:):)

This is the trip we did. Train leaves from Oakland of course. This was our first time on a train in years. Not enough room in the room for us being a bit over sized but certainly was an experience. :). Train runs notoriously late up the coast to Seattle. Plumbing problems over the height of land in Oregon hopefully will be fixed.

And the sleepers down here are more money than a flight.
Perhaps they are more reasonable your way?
