Ok, I fell and hit my head on Friday afternoon. It hurt like heck, but not a bruise in sight until yesterday, and then I sort of blossomed. Why does it take so long to show up?

Hey, if I can manage to hit the other I won't need eye shadow, lol

Ouch!! If you start getting headaches or feeling weird - call 911 and get in to the hospital! You have a head injury and believe me, they are not to be fooled with!

I am not a nurse but my dd hit her forehead on concrete when she was 4 and it kinda did like that. It seems that gravity finally pulled the blood from your forehead to your eyes. When my dd hit her head she got black eyes like that and they cleared up but about 3 days after it cleared up she got the black eyes again. I had a daycare that really thought that I had beated her up but luckily I had doctor back up that that wasn't the case.

Sometimes it just takes awhile for the blood to drain from where you sustained the head injury to the eye socket area. Happens all the time where I work ........... and I get questions all the time from families.

Thanks for the answers, and the good wishes. I did this a week ago, and I am still alive, so I don;t think there is that much damage, lol. It was just funny to look in the mirror and see this so many days after it happened.

Hey, if I were behaving normally, it wouldn't be me, would it, lol.
