I am looking forward to all the stops :grin

one thing is for sure.. they are cooler here than here.
Thanks earl for the information

I'm like Red looking forward to all the ports! Jim and I have only been to Grand Caymen as far as the ports on this cruise, so every day will be an adventure. As we really enjoy the snokeling, we will be looking for some really good sights to do that.

DAW, I enjoy snorkeling also. and there should be some great places to indulge..

The time is 11:35am on Sunday. Jeanie and I just were watching the travel channel. They are running a special program on the cruise industry. There was just a short on about Labadee. Nothing big just some highlight stuff. There was some beautiful scenery shots.

Yes, I can't wait for some sand and beach at Labadee. We've never been and I hope to use this day as a nice relaxing chill day.

Just found this site and figured I'd add my 2 cents. We were on the E.O.S. in April and Labadee was one of the ports we visited. GREAT relaxation day as the beaches were beautiful and the water was warm. In fact it was our favorite port. This is a RCCL island only. Huge beach areas so there was no crowding. And that was with 3000+ people coming off the ship. The further you walked down the island the less people you encountered. They also had a large kids area with slides and water games for them. The only drawback was the mob scene lined up in the hallway waiting to tender to the island. The tenders run on a 20 minute schedule so you can come and go as you please. Each one carries a couple hundred people. Spent our time on the beach watching the zip line gang come flying past. By the sounds of the screams they seemed to be having a great time. Be sure to bring a couple of dollar bills to tip the beach attendants. They provide you with a lounge chair, setting it up in the location you chose. Shopping at this port was VERY pushy in the mini mall that was there. It contained many varied items but the seller's were desperate for a sale. If you don't mind saying no thank you a zillion times you may be able to find just what you wanted. RCCL also provides a buffet lunch on the island so none of us had starve to death after not eating for over a 2 hour period!!!!

Our first visit there...though Leatherneck has been to the Embassy in Haiti for work. He brought home some really good rum that was super cheap. So, yes, I am looking forward to this port!

Denise, here is a great Rum drink. if you can get some Pusser's Rum.. it is wonderful

Pussers was what the Brit sailors used to get for their daily tot. given onboard the ship by the Purser.. hence the name.."Pusser" back before the 1700's their tot was actually a pint of Rum per day.. makes you wonder how they found their way :lol
sadly this tradition was canceled by the Admiralty..

It may be the Rum you are talking about, as it is produced in the BVI
An enterprising man bought the rights to it from said Admiralty and started producing it again on Tortola. some of the price of each bottle sold goes to the Royal navy Sailors Fund.

It is often called the single malt of Rum.. and is still produced the same way.. a blend of 5 rums, no flavorings.. just 100% natural
So you can "go green" with this one :grin

PAIN KILLER

1/4 glass Rum (Pusser if you have it.)
1/4 glass Cream of coconut
1/3 glass Pineapple juice
Healthy splash Orange juice
Sprinkle Nutmeg
1 Maraschino cherry
Lots Ice

Fill a cup with ice. Add Pusser's Rum to about 1/4 of the glass. Add an equal amount of Cream of Coconut.
Add some pineapple juice and a healthy splash of orange juice. Shake well.
Add cherry and sprinkle some nutmeg on the top.

Denise, I went looking on their site and they have this recipe.
The infamous Pusser's Painkiller®â€â€the drink we are known for throughout the West Indies, in the U.S. and many parts of Europe!

The Painkiller® is a blend of Pusser's Rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top. You have a choice of numbers 2, 3 or 4, which designate the amount of Pusser's Rum! Cheers!

Painkiller #2 ... 2 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #3 ... 3 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #4 ... 4 parts Pusser's Rum
Or use the mix and save the pain!

Having a really big party? mix your Painkillers in batches!

I have a recipe in with my drink folder, and I got it from the soggy dollar..
it is a great summer drink.
and winter.. Spring.. Autumn...
