I do indulge in junk food on occasion but have often wondered why cruise lines never really offer it.
I'm talking about things like potato chips, Fritos, Doritos, cheese puffs, pig skins, peanuts, nachos, Frito pies,
pretzels (big and small), along with appropriate dips such a cheese sauce, jalapenos, onions, olives,
salsa, etc. Popcorn is the usual standby for movie viewing, but essentially there's nothing else. There are many snack
options that most people enjoy but few are ever offered except popcorn and maybe ice cream.
Ice cream is nice but often just offered with no extras like whipped cream, nuts, cherries, a variety
of sauces such as hot fudge, strawberry, cherry, chocolate, banana, etc.
I very much prefer real dipped ice cream as opposed to squirt cream extracted from a machine
and made from chemical packages.
Wouldn't it be nice if cruise lines had a general junk food station with many options available?
I and most everyone are aware of the health implications of junk food, but many still indulge at least
sometimes. We're on vacation. Do we really need diet police to tell us what is good for us? Free choice!
Let's hear it for junk food!
